Carbon Sink + Rhys Chatham + Augustin Braud

Retrouvons-nous autour du label Entrefer qui présentera deux sorties, celle de Rhys Chatham & Z’EV, ainsi que celle de Carbon Sink ‘’Climatic Paragon’’, en vinyle les deux. La première est issue d’une collaboration entre Rhys Chatham et Z’EV dont on s’étonne qu’elle soit si tardive, tant leurs vies se sont croisées et qui nous happe musicalement par son aspect prémonitoire… La seconde est un double album intitulé "Climatic Paragon", qui correspond à l'aboutissement de dix ans de collaboration artistique et musicale, dix ans de field recordings, di     [...]

Deux pièces : “Paulina Semilionova irait à l’équarrissage”. “L’apparence du vrai est un moment du faux.” Sessions enregistrées en direct à Warui Basho par Romain Perrot alias Vomir, challenger du noise made in France remarketé harshnoisewall. Mastering : Rick @ Enemata Productions. Du boucan encore, encore, et toujours, pour la première pièce (générateur de bruit et effets) et pour la deuxième un travail de percussion sur guitare électroacousique 12 cordes qui, dans la répétition, s’avère nettement plus subtil. Même qu’un peu de musique se pointe. Genre minimal et maximaliste évoquant un Arnod Dreyblatt déchiré au mix Red Bull / Kétamine voire les pièces de John Cale publiées il y a une dizaine d’annéee par Table of the elements. Review in The WIre, May 2011 issue "No dynamics, no change, no development, no ideas," is how French wall-noise master Romain Perrot once summed up the Vomir aesthetic. The 70-odd recordings he has produced under the name - all seething slabs of layered noise - have varied in density but never in approach or conception. How can such a project move forward? Well, the obvious answer is by realising the same idea with different means. Thus, the second track hear, "L'Apparence Du Vrai Est Un Moment Du Faux", is a harsh noise wall performed on a 12-string electroacoustic guitar, the first of its kind in the Vomir catalogue. It has everything you listen for in a HNW release - the crackling cross-rhythms, the transformation of static mass into polyphony - but the pace (if that makes sense) is slower; there are strings, so there's pitch; and you can hear the rattle of the guitar-neck. Track one, on the other hand, is classic Vomir: a blizzard in constant crescendo, uncompromisingly empty, infinitely detailed."
